No. You control the frequency, and reminders are batched. Each notification has one-tap Done, Snooze, or Reschedule actions, so handling them is quick.

Does it sync with Google Calendar or iCal?

Not yet. The maintenance schedule lives in HouseSpouse's in-app calendar. Two-way calendar sync is on the roadmap.
